Bereavement Ministry

Our Vision

Losing a family member can be one of the most difficult and painful experiences a person will go through. It is important to have a solid support system of friends and other family members during such devastating times.

Bereavement Dinner

Parishioners who have lost a loved one are invited to attend. This ministry gives us the opportunity to pray with grieving families and share a meal. It brings people together and helps their healing during this difficult time in their lives.   This year's Bereavement dinner is to be announced.

A funeral should be the community’s celebration of the deceased’s life and a sharing in the resurrection of Jesus. Congregational participation in the liturgy, especially with singing, is an important part of our faith community’s farewell. A funeral choir is available to assist in the congregational singing.

There are many possibilities and options available for funerals, wakes and visitations. Your local funeral director, or Fr. Gabriel will be glad to assist you in all the necessary preparations.

The Eternal Rest or “Requiem Æternam” Prayer-
Eternal rest, grant unto them O Lord
and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May their souls and all the souls of the faithful
departed through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen
